My new newt tank

Been talking here about setting up a tank. Here is the first tank pic. Will post more when I can get some shots of him out and about (he was hiding this morning).

Thats so cool X-router!!! and a nice tank aswell. Does your power filter blow all the sand about though??

Here he is again sunning himself this morning.


DrOizo the sand was moved around at first but once a flow pattern settled it was fine. It never blows it up into the water just moves it into little dunes. Looks quite cool actually, better than my landscaping.

Do creatures like that like other things in the tank with them or would they munch them straight away.

are those a special kind? I don't know anything about newts, but I know that we have that kind (or very very similar) in the wild here, I find some in the garden sometimes...
really great creatures.
once I found one that pretented to be dead for about half an hour, and to be sure I put him in the pond, and as soon as I let go of him, he swam away...

that's a great tank, i like the natural look newt got blue gravel, how do they like the sand
