I'm going to setup a 12g reef tank.

Many thanks to steelhealr for all the good info and inspiration.

Here Goes (just a shopping list, want your feedback before I buy)

12G Nano Tank DX 2006/20007 Model
Stock Lighting OR 150 Watt K2 Viper
Two Maxi Jet 1200 And Dual Outlet PowerHead
Fuge Light (18w florescent I saw on ebay somewhere)
Moon Light Upgrade
Current USA Fission Nano Protein Skimmer
12LBS Live Rock (undecided what mixture)
Live Sand (undecided on amount or type)
Tank Heater 50W??
Co2 Diffuser?? (using yeast trick to make co2)

Anything I've missed? What chemicals/etc will I need? Any suggestions or pointers I may have missed reading in steelhealr's thread?

Hopefully this setup will enable me to make a very nice reef tank where I can grow/support most things I want.

Here's what I know, though I'm unfamiliar with the equipment that comes with your tank, link would be nice.

-what's a dual outlet powerhead, don't know the gph off top of head but that sounds like it should be 20-30x tank volume
-skimmer I've only read bad reviews about it. I think you would be ok without a skimmer in that tank with water changes, best to wait for somebody's else's view
-12lbs. LR all depends on the type of LR, if it's porous and hollow you may want less, if dense then more
-I would just skip the live sand since it becomes live eventually, usually people get aragonite, for you size tank probably just a thin cover on the bottom
-I would get a 75w heater but depends if it gets cold by you or not, if it gets cold a lot then yes, if not then 50 should be good
-co2, never heard of that for SW?

Alright, scratch the co2, live sand, and skimmer.

The dual powerhead is just a fitting to make the single outlet dual and directional.

75 watt heater is is :)

Thanks to input and even deeper research (especially SH's thread) Here's my new shopping list. It's about a week, maybe two untill I ebay for my stuff :)

Please review this and let me know what you think. I also need input on chemicals/testing kits and their prices. I will do a full step by step base 12g nano tank setup with pictures for each step when I get this stuff. I wont go into growing/coral/fish just how to get you're tank setup. :)

I understand small tanks are difficult and can crash quickly, but I want to have the strongest and most complete setup possible...maybe overkill :)
