Here's my new male betta - the picture makes him look like he's got green - or other funny patches but he's a bicolour crowntail consisting of a very very very more silvery than light blue metallic colour and red

He also has white on his head so does that still make him bi-colour or tri!?

Cheers what do you think?

My prize betta for the moment :)

Out of 10! dont be afraid to be mean and critiscise him, i want to learn how to pick good betta's im sure this was the best in the shop! £3.99 if anyone wants to know :)

try setting up the pics somewhere else because no one is able to see your nice fish, which i am sure i will be jelous.

Lechlade garden centre - pretty smalltime ish in aquatics he was the pick of the bunch the rest of them were really looking old drag and tatty

They also keep some of their fish in incorrect conditions - a freshwater ray much of had a good 6-7" diameter - in possibly no more than a 20g long :X
figure of 8 puffers, and gsp's in freshwater and they acutally said they are fully tank bred freshwater puffers that dont need brackish conditions - Also my trusty lfs that i dearly love - sell their fig 8's for £4.50 where as this garden centre's were £12.99!!!!!!!

RIP off as well as the fact that fig 8's havent been bred in captivity - aka im not EVER going there for advice or general fish stock it is very expensive

Although i cant fault their tanks were very clean and fish and there were no dead'uns bar

Most of the bettas were older looking and fairly tatty

Also they kept a male either side of the female tank causing constant flaring at the ladies - probably stressing them out loads as well as getting horny

Mine was £3.99 and my females were 3 for £7 Not a bad bargain
