My New Leucistic Texas Rat Snake

I know this is kinda a late reply lol but whats wrong with keeping more then one snake together? I have kept either pairs or females together for years(not king snakes and other canabalistic snakes obviosly) also no adult males but I have never had a problem with pairs or females for example 9 monthes out of the year i keep my pair of adult everglades ratsnakes together(except for hibernation and when the female lays her eggs) but i have never had problems as long as i seperate during feeding. Even ratsnakes and corns have been fine together when young or female only tanks.

I think alot of people prefer to keep seperate incase of illness, if one becomes ill it will most likely spread to the other. Also if one regurges or has odd poo it'd be difficult to know which one has a problem. In the wild most snakes do not go looking to curl up with other snakes and prefer the solitary life. That said, I know alot of people who keep multiple corn snakes together with no problems. Our's are all housed separate.....but that is our personal choice.

also, there is the risk of cannibalism and also rape. :good:

i wish my texas rats were that nice, they have always been a bit nippy
