I have some pretty clear pics, so if anyone can tell me male or female, it'd be cool.

Lemme outta this bag!

 Gorgeous L260 you have there. How big is he?? I'd have to say looking at the longer interopercular, pectoral odontodes that it looks like a male. Also looks slim from above. Very nice. I have a male and a female, and this one looks like my male. How much did you pay for him, if you don't mind me asking?? What tank have you got him in?? Have you got a cave for him or hiding spot?? And what are you feeding him??

Great pics.

:D

Currently feeding sinking veggie wafers and live brine shrimp in the tank.

There is a slate cave for him. That was just him taking his corner when he got into the tank last night. He's hanging out with the clown pleco peacefully right now.

$36 US. Not too bad IMO. He's in the 38, replacing my FFF as the main algea eater. The FFF had squabbles with the krib, but no problems with this guy at all.

here is he is in the cave with the royal subjects, my fattest peacock eel and the vampire/Camaroon shrimp

If you go to your local supermarket, you could buy normal shrimps that we eat, and feed him those too. Only give him one every couple of weeks. I bought a nice bag and froze them. I defrost one in a cup of water from the tank and the Arabesques love them. My female seems to eat blanched courgette, cucumber and potato too. They also LOVE bloodworm. And shrimp pellets.

36 Dollars is a really good price for him. He is a stunning little guy. I paid £30 something for my male and £25 for the female. So yours is a good price.

As far as I know, they don't seem to eat algae. I've never witnessed mine eat it.

:D

yeah, I think it's the krib that's eating the veggie waffers....

Hmmmm... and the clown plec...

everything's still good.

if I were to get a female... how easily would they breed?

I have a female with my male and they've been together 7 months now, and nothing has happened. To begin with, I've read that it takes up to 2 years for them to mature. You also need to condition them and set them up preferably in their own tank. The water conditions also seem to have to be perfect, I've read of people using 50% RO water, 50% tap water. It may also help to have more than 1 male, so they HAVE to breed with the female before the other male gets to her. My female has been waiting by the cave for months now and every time my male finds her there, he runs screaming  . I think my female may be ready for breeding, but my male may still need some time. I am going to set them up probably next year after the Christmas rush and get myself another male. But from what other people have written, it takes a lot of work and even more patients.

So unless you have loads of time, patients and some more money for another tank and male as well as RO water, it would be best to cross your fingers and hope for a miracle

haha. I have the money....

but my parents wont let me.
