yah, it looks like he's black (or a very dark blue) with red in-person, but than once I take a picture he's brighter.

In real life, his entire body is jet black, not a stitch of blue on him anywhere except his fins! Cameras do funny things.

Now, if only they could take 20 lbs off of us when we have our photos taken....

Really?! wow, I can't even tell he has black on him. I've never seen a betta with a black body and blue fins, that would look amazing.

Did you ever find out if Lucky's tail will grow back? or if he was born like that? He sure is adorable either way! And good for you for bringing him home
