Hi all

well paid the lfs a visit, they had several cories in there,i decided on cory julli, could only get 3 for the time being

Here's a pic they're still acllimatising

Update

all 3 in now,but my female platy is terrorising them, chasing them around!!

Do you think the cories will get stressed?

Hi Harlequins :)

The cory in the bag looks nice and healthy. If you think the corys need somewhere to get away by themselves while your platy gets used to having them there, you could make a simple cave out of 3 rocks and a flat piece of slate or other stone. It would look natural and look good in your tank.

Lovely Cory in the bag Harlequins. You look to have true Cory julii too! Cory trilineatus looks very much like it. The difference is the true julii has distinct spots on the head whereas trilineatus has lines.

Inchworm, sent you a PM about one of the cories in your pic.

Thanks :good:

I was wondering if they were julii's or not :D

Unfortunately one died, but lfs replaced it once they tested my water,i now have 6 of these beauties!,fab to watch :D

I haven't received a pm from inchworm? !!

Yep they're doing fine thanks, sooo active, very amusing to watch, they have settled in well :good:

I have been trying to feed them, but the platies pinch all the food before it gets to the cories,so i distract the platies by feeding them first then try to drop the granules (tetra prima)which the lfs recommended, but the harleys and platies get to them also before the cories.
If the cories do eventually get to food the platies literally snatch it away from them.

Is there any set way to feed the little cories?,i just hope they're getting enough,
here's 3 of them, the others speed off just has i took pic

Hi Harlequins :)

Don't hesitate to put your (washed) hand into the tank and flick the food down toward the bottom. While you have the other fish distracted, the corys will be able to eat. Or, try feeding them late at night. The corys are active in the dark and will have no trouble using their barbels to find the food. :D
