My New Birthday tank!)

Wow  ...mts set in fast for you! :p The new tank looks great! Can't wait to see it with the cichlids!

Thanks for the positive comments guys :)

I decided I am going to go for a mixed tank instead of just cichlids. I shall have my kribs in there and maybe some rams, but I fancy a bit of variety ;)

I shall be adding more plants soon, I am just building it up and trying to keep an eye on my cash flow at the same time, it's not cheap filling a tank this size!

The rocks cost 99p per KG, which worked out fairly expensive, but you get what you pay for if you want pre-washed, checked & cut slate :) I spent about £35 in total on rocks

Ben -

Love your new tank. BTW - what a coincidence! My birthday is June 8 as well and I got a new tank too! Happy Birthday to us! :bday:

Hi bunjiweb.
Thats one nice looking tank you have there
Only thing i might suggest is.........
I started my tank using plastic plants but have now changed them for real ones.
What a difference i think it makes.
Wish i had done it in the first place.
Another thing.....i found a really well stocked aquarium shop inside a garden centre not far from you if you ever want to check it out.
Cant remember the name of it,but its about 3 miles the Bristol side of Gloucester on the "A38".
I think its at a place called "whitminster"
Good luck

Yes,i think it is called "world of water".
They have a wide selection of tanks/fish (tropical, marine and pond)and loads of acessories.Food, ornaments, pumps, lights,a variety of gravel.
Its about 25 miles from where i live, but well worth the visit
