My New Betta Falx Pair

I received my new betta falx pair in the mail yesterday. They are super cute
Was surprised when acclimating them that the male had been holding fry! He released them in the bag and I was able to pull 8 of them out. Will try to raise them and see how they do. Theyre newly hatched lol. So very tiny. Also to my surprise, the pair is flirting and seem to be preparing to breed already. Will keep you guys updated.

Well, the last of the fry didn't make it...but, it appears the male is holding again already. lol

Does that mean wild bettas can live together without fighting like the common ones do?

Yea, depending on the species. I will have to pull the fry one they're released so they don't get eaten but the male and females can live together. Depending on tank size, multiple pairs. WB can explain more if she pops in. Will try to direct her this way so she can explain better. I'm new having them.

He is a handsome fish and if he held so well during transit, he should do very well in tank!

He didn't spit them out until acclimation time, so he did super well! I was shocked when I saw the fry haha. Unfortunately, none of them were strong enough to make it. But I couldn't believe the pair felt comfortable enough to spawn within 24 hours of arrival lol

Just realized this pic didn't post right. The male is due to release fry Friday or Saturday this week! He is in a breeder net in the tank til he releases.
