I received some Apistogrammas in the mail today, I love these little guys. I took some pics but it was not easy since they spent most of their first day hiding and were a little stressed. Some of my specimens are very young so they are not showing much color yet, but a couple are more mature and WOW, the color is so vivid!
I'm guessing that their body color will develop as they mature which is what happened with my Bolivian Rams
First off is Apistogramma Cacatuoides "Orange Flash" The orange color is so vivid, it seems to glow!
Here is a much smaller (and less colorful) female Orange Flash:
Next is Apistogramma Cacatuoides "Triple Red", he was particularly shy, but WOW, the colors!
Next is Apistogramma Viejita "Rio Meta"
I believe this is a Apistogramma Wilhelmi which I got in error
I also have a pair of "Red Tail East" (Apistogramma Agassizi) but they are very small and keep hiding.
