Well...I had gone to Petsmart planning on getting some more frozen foods and (The story of my life) walked out with another three mouths to feed. First I went over to the small fuzzy critter section (as I always do) and fell in love with a little lavender mouse. (She's actually very light grey with pink skin that makes her look lavender) And realised, "Hey...I have a 20 gallon which is no longer watertight (and I'm too clumsy to fix it)" and so the little purple mouse and a black and white roomate came home to sit in the room with all of their new brothers and sisters (Their Betta siblings =3).
As I cheerfully marched back over to the aquatics section for a big block of frozen bloodworms something caught my eye. I peeked into the very blue water of the itty bitty cup and lo and behold: A CT Super Delta! <3 <3 I knew I couldn't have him....knew my fiancee would throw a fit (Oh yeah, I got engaged last week!
lol, I love how I mentions my new pets first then my engagement.) But oh, those little fishy eyes....I balked...started to walk away....then...the fishy wiggle dance.
He's a crafty one, he knew I couldn't say no to the wiggle dance. I opened the BW bag abd broke off about 3 worms. Thawed them in my fingers while balancing a box of squeakies in my other arm and stuck in my finger. He nibbled me and I knew I had to have this little, very pale looking boy.
And so with a box of mice, a bag of bloodworms, 1 gallon container, rocks, plant and a fish I stumbled up to the register. The cashier gives me an odd look and asks why I didn't get a cart...and nearly wets herself, laughing when I explain I just wanted the BWs. So, at 10:00 I pull into the driveway and unload my stuff...
I am not sure if David hasn't noticed the upage in animals or if he just doesn't want to get started on me...
As I type this I'm laughing...my 9 older betta boys are all wiggling about, begging for chow because they see me at the computer, my new fella is sitting on my computer desk wiggling about and playing in his plant, the sirority tank is doing thier thing and loving the rocks I brought back from Kentucky, the community tanks are doing their thing, the cat is harassing a twist tie, the dog is sleeping, and two mice are running about the keyboard. When am I gonna stop bringing home critters you ask? NEVER!
