:( :( well my medium tank 100x50x50 broke and it has killed the house. :( :(

I went to work after changing out my water and came back and the tank was empty... fish dead but the shrimp survived. I purchased the shrimp on the sunday and the tank broke on the monday.

Because I didn't have any water ready I had to use tap water. which killed all the shrimp but 9. i hope these will bread and get my money back.

I had wooden packet flooring and it has warped the whole floor.. glad i had a cement cloor under it..

Insurance company is coming out tomorrow to assess the damage.

RIP

5 Tiger angel fish

50 cardianl tetra

100 fire red shrimp

2 zebra pleco

That sucks too the extreme! how did it break? :(

Im sorry bout your fish and tank, hopefully you will recover the money and get another one :)

Really sorry to hear that. I always dread thinking what will happen if I come back from holiday and something horrible has happened. I once came back and my heater had broke, and had been broken for a week. Surprisingly, nothing died.

yea it was poor. i dont know what happened but i think it had some thing to do with not having styrofoam on the bottom of the tanks and the table on the bottom flexed when iwas at work and broke the bottom. the crack goes from corner to corner. so i think it was a twisting motion.

well the insurance company will replace the fish and the contects but the tank was not insured... strange...

thanks for the support..

well once the large tank is ready i will be able to start again. but this will be about a month away..

that sux dude and sorry for your loss!!

dont think my mum and dad would care if that happened. my room is downstairs and has a step down into it so its lower than the other rooms. concrete floor too so id jus have a massive puddle and my mum and dad would probably jus shut the door with a "you can clear that up" look on there faces.

ive got all my plug extensions off the floor too so i think theyd survive.

could jus put some wellies on and forget it ever happened lol.

How are you Cleaning the water? Was there alot of water?

Good luck FWW!

yea about 300 ltr of water. there isnt much I need to clean up as all the water has been absorbed by my wooden floor.

My wooden floor is screwed and i pulled it up tonight as the wood has almost doubled in size and it has all warped.

So it is now stripped down to the cement fllor again. I think I will lay tiles next time.

oh i said zebra pleco but i was wrong that is in my other tank. so here is the list

Here is the total list of what was lost.

5 x angel fish (Tiger) (Wild) = 25.50 each
50 x cardinal tetra = 1.60 each
50 x Cherry Shrimp = 2.30 each
2 x L240 leopard plecco. = 59.50 each
10 x Corydoras Sterbai = 10.95 each
30 x variety of plants = 70 total
1 x heater 300w = 45.00 (heater blew as there was no water to cool it)

Isn't this the second tank that has broken on you in about a week?!? So sorry. :-( So the table/stand basically buckled under the pressure of the tank... is that correct?

Wish you a speedy recovery on the cleanup and good luck with the insurance.

That reallly sucks. I guess this reminds us too always have foam under tanks.

Foam? As in under the glass part? Or under the entire aquarium?

Also what foam? I've never heard of foam under an aquarium. :X

Sorry on your loss Fozzy

:shifty:

My tank is from WWAAAAAAALLLL*MMMAAARRRTT so I know it'll last a life time! :good:

Yeah....no...

I don't have any fears about my tanks breaking. I've never had a leak, ever in any one of my 8 fish tanks (2 of which are acryllic). Right now I'm taking a break and I only have 4 of them operating... I can't handel all those fish! Teehee....
;)
