My male betta is cruel

My first male betta,was very large i bred it with ease.BUt it died and the new one killed all the females.Why?

are you keeping the males with teh females? for living or for breedign? if for breeding i dont' undersand why you have more than one female in the tank. If livign, then you shouldn't have them together anywyas unless it's a big tank.

And if you aren't keeping the male in with the females, then when you put (ONE) female in the breeding tank with the male, are you providing hiding places for the female, and enough room to get away from him? If she has no where to hide, she will constantly be trying to escape him and it will exhaust her, then she will get stressed out and he will easily kill her.
