My Local Fish Store

This is the place where I get some of my fish. It is about 40 minuets away from my house. The store is called Aqualand and is located in Minneapolis a few minuets away from the airport. The store is fantastic , huge selection of freshwater fish and people who know what they are talking about. If you are ever in the general area you should visit this place. I have to disagree. The store looks pretty dirty... No offense man, but you must have some pretty bad stores if you call that good... Sorry, I mean no disrespect, it's just that wouldn't stand a chance compared to some of the stores in my area...

I don't see how this place looks dirty... dark maybe, but not dirty. The best LFS in my area doesn't look so different from that, meanwhile the chain stores filled with sick, poor quality, fish that they'll sell to the first person who asks are nice and clean and pristine.

I think the store looks pretty good. Fish looked decent and it's nice to see them kept in tanks with plants and such to make them more comfortable. Only thing I think looks bad is the turtle in the last shot. Doesn't look like it could turn around without pulling its head in.

lovely shop, are there any major differences between US and UK shops - as in layout - e.g. they all seem to be individual tanks with *shock hoods there, just seems weird to me

I was wondering if anyone would be able to guess what it was. It is a mata mata turtle and I have never seen it move, except once. One of the workers there fed it and I swear it was going to break the glass. Someone abandoned it on their door step and I agree that it's tank could be improved, It always appears healthy.

yeah, my chain stores here are really dirty compared to your store. They also dont have a lot of diversity of fish let alone quality. But there is a pretty clean lfs near my house although its mostly saltwater D:

i found a new fish store though, but my dad wont take me there until i bring up my grade in spanish at school >.>
