we had some space in one of are barns so, i started a little project not much so fare but its a start. i have only ordered one tank at the moment 200L i plan to get another and may be some other smaller tanks. any advice and ideas welcome













still more work to do
 
Full scale fish house beginnings here.
Box ponds in the centre are useful. Build a box structure line with polystyrene and add a cheap pondliner. (light blue lets you see your fish)

ooh this sounds like a good project, do keep us up to date with a picture journal :good:
 
i will do :good: . it may move slowly coz of the money side of things :crazy:, but it fun to do so i will keep it going

Wish my OH was a handy as you are with a screwdriver etc, OH gets hammer rash thinking of DIY :shout:

its not as neat as the stuff i make at work. but it still looks ok
 
i got my tank on thursday :hyper: but the delivery man chipped the corner but it was only small, so i put some water in to test if it leaked and it was ok. i hav not put it in place yet but soon will.

Little by little is sometimes better than jumping in with both feet... which by the way isnt good for your nitrate levels! :hyper:

Whats the plan now? what fish? what decor etc! always good to see peoples plans unfold!

i may hav it as a plec tank.looking for king tigers but my lfs hav not had any in for ages :angry: . but i am not sure at the moment
 
I dont like the look of that electric socket directly under them pipes. (always best to be on the safe side)...

Cant you make a drop down cover (like a sloping roof) over it so if ever a leak it dont go on the socket?

About your rack/bench design...I was wondering what size'access' gap you gave yourself with the bottom tier..?

gun do you mean the part were all the pipes are or the gape near the floor.

i just need to find my tape measure
