I have only used fake plants as that is what is to hand atm.
this tank will be a "real" planted one as when budget allows.

They have a bright copper band surrounding the solid centre marking, and shoal much tigher than Tetras. And do best in a larger group.

I have 6 of them, and i love their colors. I'll post some pics later on.

Well being the barb fan that I am, I really recommend and hope that you will (so I can see pictures) get around to that barb tank one day. I remember you taking pictures of it setting it up and everything... what became of that tank? just curious (sorry to change the subject again in your thread but atleast it's about you).

that tank has 15 tbs, however it also has some danios too.

A there seems to be some concern over keeping rams and angels together
I am going to do the barb tank.

I'll move the TB's and I spotted some pentoza(sp) barbs in a lfs,
they seem vey similar to TB's but I think the mix would be cool.
I also like Black ruby barb (again very similar to TBs.)
for colour I was thinking gold barbs and perhaps a few cherrys.

Noo! I love Barbs, but that would be an awesome SA Cichlid tank, like you were saying before. Angels (6 would do fine), along with Blue Rams, Bolivians, Cockatoos, Kribs...
