My L023 And L001 Keep Trying To Mate?

hey, i have two pleco's of different species which try to mate or something. one climbs on top of the other, is this normal? i dont think plecky likes it when mr sucky gets on top of her :L x they get a long fine, never argue but ive jut noticed they have started doing this and im jut curious a to why

as far as I know it's pretty rare to get plecs to breed in captivity plus a hybrid plec doesn't sound like a good idea to me mate
