ok...

i take 5ml of tank water, add required drops of solution for test, in this case 10 drops of bottle 1, then i put the lid on and shake for 30 secs, then add add 10 drops of bottle 2 then shake again. Leave it for 5 mins and take a reading.

Hi Sorry to read of the loss of you kissing gourami, I have a single kisser living with a red tailed shark and a missippi map turtle (long rescue story, I had no where for the kisser to go but in with the turtle and shark) but it is very happy on with these two.
