That's cute they shoal together :)

So I rehomed my barbs (I shed a little tear) they are now someones breeding stock and have a lovely new owner who will look after them very well :) I had all boy's so at least they will be able to find a girlfriend now ;)

So my first new addition to my tank is 2 very cute marble angelfish :D

As an aussie, I'd have to advise avoiding the dwarf gouramis, Theres some weird illness that seems to have affected all of them, they'll get ulcers and slowly just fade away, the ones I had passed it onto the other fish as wekk,

Thanks for the advice :) I will steer clear of the Dwarf I have heard from a few peps that they have illness issues

I was talking to a breeder in the LFS (who doesn't keep them due to the illness fact) and he said Honey Gouramis are the best substitute for Dwarf Gouramis :)

Thats awful he passed it onto your other fish :(

Your lay-out with the white sand 'path' in the middle is very nice, but you could make it more interesting if you would not divide your tank exactly in 2 parts and straight. Maybe if you put the path diagonally from the front to the back, this will create more depth and will make your tank also look bigger.

Your planting is well done; just be patient to let things grow out. I started with one small amazon sword, and within a few months (without proper lighting!) this plant developed into a bush! It is now the centrepiece plant in my tank!

I am very interesting to hear what you have done to keep your rams. MIne only lasted for 2 weeks, and that in a tank that was stable and had been up and running for several months.

Thanks biulu & luque :)

Great idea with adding depth I will try that :)

yeah my amazon sword has sprouted heaps of little plants off its spears I then cut of the spears of and planted the small plants in the gravel (very cost effective ;)

My Rams are going good so far however it has only been 3 days since I got them (they were the last addition to my tank) they were squabbling a little bit this morning and they haven't gotten all their colour back but other than that they seem quite content.
