But the fry sing zipidee do dah and don't stay still... How can I see if they are eating? These guys are less than a 1/4 of an inchYou can buy dry brineshrimp eggs online and keep them in the fridge/ freezer. Use a small amount every day to hatch out and feed the fry.
You can usually see the food in the fry's bellies, and they should be fat when fed.
If you are talking about micro worms, yes. The problem with them is they are basically carbohydrate as we tend to feed them on bread when we raise them, and most fish need more protein in their diet than they provide. They are a good alternative food source though.Do vinegar eels manage to bridge the gap I wonder. I have 3 bottles of them and they are similar in size, or less than, the baby brine shrimp I've seen.
So wait. I can put vinegar under a microscope and see these things?Vinegar eels aren't what you'd call microworms as in bread eaters.
They live in cider vinegar, feed from slices of apple and are certainly microscopically small. Saying that, some of my nano fish such as Chili Rasboras chase after them.
Wow... I will check that out at a later time! Thanks! Never knew there were worms in vinegarSure can. Just do a youtube search for culture setups. They live forever in a culture and can be split multiple times.
Your blue neon's would be smaller than a 4-week-old gudgeon, wouldn't they? What would you be feeding the gudgeons.?Like I said. Vinegar Eels are the way. Just gave my blue neon tetras their first feed of them. I can't see them myself but as soon as I "inject" 5ml of them the fish go crazy.
