My heater

Hi guys,
When i have my heater in a vertical position the bottom digs slightly into the gravel ive read in the instructions that its not ment to be like that i was just wondering what difference it makes, should i move my heater to a horozontal position which does not look as good.

Hi,

My heaters a little too tall for my tank as well. I did exactly the same (pushed it into the gravel a little bit) and I had no problems at all.

As long as it is not half buried you should be fine!

What I have done with mine now is attach it to the side of my tank on an angle and hidden it with a couple of taller plants.

Can't see the filter and the tank looks even better with the extra plants!!

Yep me too, heater in my community tank is vertical, digs into the gravel slightly and has done for about 3 years!
