how far away are u moveing?
well that i'm not to sure of. we buy and sell houses for a living we are only 20 and 23 years old we've sold one house already and moved into this one thats when all my gold fish started to died one by one after living here about 3 months then the last one died. I got the guppys from a friend and I love them to death... Sometimes if there is a house that my husband and I like we think about moving there but sometimes like the other house we own we don't like the people there they are so mean.... the house we live in right now is having new houses built around it and they will be sold for $120,000.00 so that makes are house go way up.... we are working to buy land and build 3 or 4 houses on it one for mom & step dad, bother and us...
all of us are working together to get that... we want a little ways out of town. but I'm not sure how far... I just wanted to know ahead of time what I should do to help the fish not get so stressed out over a move....I know were not going to move from here for about 2 years maybe a little less.... just matter's on what comes up and if we can find land thats all we are waiting for. thats why I didn't want to get to big a tank yet.. having to move all the pets lol..... :D
;) :flex:

P.S Still have all 23 fry with more on the way...

A tested food for guppies fry is the yolk of a hard boiled egg. Let the yolk get dry and then crush just a bit and feed it to your babies. Of course you can find some guppies baby food in the trade...
I would recommend you to perform water changes 2-3 times per week, in order to avoid problems in your water chemistry due to frequent feeding. Also, I would recommend you to use water from your main tank in order to acclimatize your babies to the environment in which they are going to live soon.
After three or four weeks, you can throw them back in your main tank. If your tank is relatively planted you can skip this hole process, and leave the babies to grow directly in this same tank. That's what I do. Eventually, the other fish are getting used to the idea of babies running around and they do not bother them.
In my tank, you can see guppies of all ages swiming around, and this is very cool..

yolk of a hard boiled egg... I never would have thought of that I'll try it.
I was wordering if I should use half the water from the old tank to put in the new one I just need to get the babies out of this breeder net its so small and they don't have much room to swim... when I get the other tank should I put rock in the bottom ??? My husband said his baby guppies(years ago ) got under the rock then couldn't get back out and he lost them...I was wordering also I've got 4 males should I put them in half the other 10 g with the babies, I have a divider..
or should I put the two females in the other half of tank and let all 4 males have the one tank ????
Thanks for any help

Erin :D :)

:D congrats on the fry. arent they cute. i use baby brine shrimp for mine for the first week or two. good food helps them grow bigger faster and healthier. im up to 9 guppy fry so far and y platy fry of different ages.

The fry can eat the same flakes as the big fish's do but make sure they're ground up very tiny. Also the fry will eat brine shrimp eggs. my fry did.
