She doesn't want feeders she wants a companion for her turtles ...

Frankly, turtle+fish= Fed Turtle
That is my analogy. But if you really want a fish I would go for a quick somewhat aggressive fish, like a cichlid. If not the plecos seem to do fine.

i just put a 5" plec in with my terrapin and to be honest they leave each other alone, mind you though the terrapin is only about 3" right now, they seem to get on fine but i am keeping a very close eye on them as soon as i see any aggresion the plec is coming out into a safe environment.

Al right that's good ;) Mine is only 3 inches as well :)

More to the point...no animl will 'take waste in' they will all contribute further to the waste in the tank. Plecos are like spaghetti factories, and don't stand a chance against a curios turtle. They can also do a fair bit of damage to a turtle, if they such on the eyes while it's sleeping for example.

And plecos can be housed with Turtles and RBPs, just don't expect them to look great after several meetings with the tank mates.

This is true. Plecos DO poop a lot. They don't eat "Waste" but they help tremendously with algae ( I know mine did ...).

And ultimately NO FISH is safe with a turtle. I got lucky that my turtle did not eat my fish but I think eventually he would have.

Turtle+Fish=Fed Turtle
