very nice , does it attract any unwanted wildlife ?

UNWANTED... like EGRETS who ate some of my koi last summer . Those egrets make me think twice before buying more expensive fish.

Right now im keeping liberated feeder goldfish to in my pond, and hopefully in the summer I will create a "roof" sorta over the pond so I could start keeping some fancy goldfish. IMO fancy goldfish look the best from the top and not from the side. I think i'll lay off keeping koi for awhile because my pond is too small to keep koi happy.

That's exactly what I meant , a friend of mine was showing me his pond , pointing this koi and that one and stating the cost [ expensive ] , when I said something about cranes , herons and egrets , he said no I'm not worried about that . Then about a week and a half Later I back , he was cursing me up and down , about 6 fish he said in under 5 minutes , 1 bird ate like 2400 to $3000 worth of koi . He put some kind of netting above it .

If you build it , they will come .


Do you have Raccoons near you , if the pond isn't too deep they'll get in for a meal as well .

The funny thing is that I live in the middle of the city, and the egrets still come... I have no trouble with racoons or cats so far *cross fingers* Of the 3 years i had this pond, I only had 1 egret experience though.
