My goldfish is sick. What does he have?

Hi everyone.

I have a goldfish that has something that looks like a blister on his body. There are no scales there anymore.

I hope someone can see from the picture attached what it is so I can treat it.

For the rest, he seems very happy, swimming around and eating normally.

It looks to me like he has been injured? Is there any sharp objects or things he could damage himself on?

EDIt: Watch it and just make sure it doesnt become infected.

Can you post test results in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph, what size tank and how many fish, what filter do you use, try a salt bath on the fish.

can you take him out and run your finger along the side of him and see if it pops the blister or not. if it does, does it feel like its crackling?
is there more than one blister or is it one big one? are they the same size or differing and can you see if they are liquid filled.
have any more appeared?

It's only one big blister. It hasn't become worse since yesterday.
I don't think I can hold a fish and pet him.

I wouldn't know if there is liquid inside.

I will test the water tonight.

In the meantime, the tank is 20 gallon freshwater.
Inhabitants: 2 corycats, 2 goldfish, 1 dwarf frog and 1 snail.

Give her some salt baths, I have one like her it's an oranda they say but I think they have been cross bred with comets or something, mine's bigger and cuter but I have to say that because I love her she is called orange pip
