There so pretty!! I am thinking of getting some female bettas.... Any tips??

Yes, the white one does have some really pretty shimmery pink/lavender in her fins. She is my favorite too.

This is my first time keeping a group of girls, so i don't know if i have any useful tips yet. My only observation is that there has been quite a bit of squabbling between them (you can see the torn fins in the photos), so if anyone has advice on how to minimize this, it would probably be helpful to have that info before you dive in.

I'm brand new to girls too; I'm 48 hours into it :). I'll keep coming back to see how you are getting on :)

you could add more than just two in a 35 (you could easily have 7 in a 20). also, add more plants and decor to break up line of sight. the girls look nice despite their torn fins.
cheers

Well, it seems like the initial 48 hours was the worst. I haven't seen any new battle scars in the past couple of days and they seem to be mellowing out.

I didn't mention this, but they do have tank mates, so i don't think i want to add any more fish.

Thanks for the comments and advice!

Wow! You know, sometimes I think that the females pull off just the same amount of spectacular colour as some males, just without the long fins. Very pretty fish, be proud! It is quite obvious that they are given the best care possible.
