My frontosa

i realy dont know why im getting involved in this thread but i can just say i can see both sides of this argument... as both species can be in a similar tank as long as it is big enough. but the preferd conditions are different for both species, and for me fish keeping is mainly about creating an environment that is suited for the fish you keep. but thats just me and it can never be perfect but i can see how youve taken this critacism to heart and it wasnt writen in a way that i would but you havent exactly rebutted in an appropriate way either. for me i think that this thread should be ended because i think that everyone wont agree. but i think you should concider a different tank for the front. but if space and mony doesnt permit look after them well and enjoy them

good luck

not a joke, just a flame to get us annoyed and gives us a bad reputation

If this is a serious thread then take the serious advice.

Frontosas should really only be with frontosas, or at the very least, with cichlids from lake Tanganyika. Stocking it with an Oscar is just plain dumb. If you want to use this forum for advice then be my guest, but don't turn around and be a complete jerk when someone suggests that what you are doing is perhaps wrong.

If on the other hand this was a piss take then i suggest you leave the forums and go back to your own sheltered world, stop wasting YOUR OWN time as well as ours.

As for the forum for TFF haters, well the only thing i can say is that this is incredibly sad, as I have never had a problem with people on this forum. It's usually people who are given advice, but refuse to listen to/believe what they have been told, thus creating the illusion of hate...... All i can say is if you hate this forum so much then you have no need to visit it, we aren't forcing you!

:dunno:

AFO if your fish get along, you can keep them happy, you have a tank big enough to house them (And the supplies to keep it running right duh) your ok. And If an Arowana could fit in a ten gallon I would have 5, one for every ten gallon I have but they dont. Anyway your fish are very pretty.

P.S. Im not trying to start anything with what I typed above.

lol dd cought me i dont have an arrow lol im not stupid.

might i add something

I love this forum, have learned almost eveyrthing i know. However, i did notice people here do take some things way too seriously and i can understand that.

I do bend the rules sometimes and take risks. I never endanger my pets though, and care for them can try to give them the best home possible.

When i bend the rules though, i don't mention it here because i know it will upset some people and i don't feel like changing my ways because i know it works for me. the rule i usually break is the 1 inch per gallon rule or tank mates. (my 20 gallon is about at 2.5 inches per gallon)

anyway, just saying i can understand why some people could hate the advice here, but i don't

advice is always good and you do what you want with it. the well being of fish is what primes here and then go from there. Rule of thumbs are rule of thumbs, they don't apply to every single situation and all fish are different. Some people have kept two male bettas in a large enbough tank without issues.

Anybody suggesting that here would get flamed and rightfully so. But somehow, some people make it work!

Learn from the forum and from your experience. People here give the safest advice you can get, and you're sure to have very little problems if you follow it. However, breaking the rules might still work and that's up to you to decide if it does or not!

it's like getting your driver's license. You have to drive the safest way possible to get it, but driving the safe way is not always safe!

Oh excuse me, I hadn't realized you were a know it all :zz
Obviously you can't handle a little friendly criticism and you seem a bit touchy and insecure in your stockng decisions.
No point in carrying this on further, I can see how concerned you are with the well-being of your fish :)
