My Fishroom

I see you have a couple walmart brand hoods for your 10 gallon tanks? Are they any good? I just bought one and I am not that please about the lighting.

I'm not sure which ones you mean, fatheadminnow. I never bought any hoods from Walmart, but I do have some second hand equipment and other hoods that I got from Petsmart. If you mean the ones with the incandescent lights, I don't care for them because they tend to heat up the water. The C. sterbai don't mind because they have a heater so it's warm anyway.

have you ever considered consolidating airpums for the box filters to ones with multiple ait outlets? thats a load of cables and tubing...id kill myself tripping over them

Yes, I have thought of that loraxchick. The problem is that I keep spending my money on other things like fish. One of these days I keep promising myself I'll get it together though.

Nice room . I bet u sleep very relax.

Hi paul_219 :) That I do. My apartment is always burbling and humming and I do find it surprisingly restful. :zz

ive got to say that is dedication its plain to see you care for your fish very much thanx for showing
regards scot :)

I thought I was mad for having one in the Kitchen, I'd never get out in the Garden with all those tanks. Well done. Now added to Wish list, 900 litre, fish room etc etc etc. :good:

to many tanks I'm a 1 tank man always have been and always will be

1. get more time to sit back and enjoy the fish and not spend lots of hours per week taking care of water changes

2. i like 1 big tank rather than 20 small tanks

The most I've ever had is 4 tanks and a pond, that was pushing it for me! :hyper: :look:

Personally I don't see how you could enjoy all these tanks but each to their own and it is clear you are dedicated and passionate about your hobby so there is no harm in it. :good: You ever considered relocating them into a room/annex that could fit them in more harmoniously?

I hope you don't have any youngsters around they would have wandering hands!

Great tanks well done, where do you find the time haha

Oh my, oh my! lol Even though I only have 6 tanks, I still spend a good couple hours doing water changes on the weekend. lol That is, if I can find the time after cleaning MORE aquariums at work! I'm loving the set up, your aquarium room quite resembles what my bedroom looks like. (Except plus 25 aquariums) I have a ton of those Aquaclear filters, I can't seem to find sponge filters anywhere. Perhaps I'll make one....

Lovin' it! :D

Hi T1KARMANN :)

I've seen pictures of the big tank you are building and it is magnificant. If I kept rays and other big fish I would need a big tank too. As it is, pearl gouramis by far the biggest fish in my tanks and some of my corys do best in the single species tanks. That's most of what the 10 gallon tanks hold. You're right about it being a lot of work to keep a bunch of small tanks. It is. :D

Hi Ferg1985 :)

I would love being able to keep them all in the same room but since I live in an apartment it's just not possible. It would be great living in a house with a basement to dedicate to them.

I hope you don't have any youngsters around they would have wandering hands!

Hi c-dub :)

Oh, no. My grandkids live on the other side of the country and are old enough not to be a problem with that. TBH, it even makes me nervous when my neighbors bring their kids over to look at the fish. :S

:D

^ Yes, I thought having tanks so low on the ground might be a problem with other pets or small children. I have my first child due in a couple of months but thankfully my tank is on a stand... however will need to lockup the cupboard due to the meds and conditioners in there!!

Holy Cow! I had no idea you had so many tanks Inch.. I thought I was getting MTS bad... :fun: I don't think I could handle that many, but hey, I bet your fish are sure glad you can!:) I def. have to show my hubby this! You are making me look real easy right about now....
