My Fish Keep Getting Stuck To The Filter

My fish are sick right now and they are very weak. It seems like my filter has been causing more deaths than the illness. My weak fish keep getting sucked onto the intake valve thing. What kind of inexpensive filter, with no intake valve/pump do you recommend for a 10 gallon tank?

I'd say the Fluval 1+. I haven't used it but seems about right to fit your bill

you must have one hell of a strong filter for it to be sucking your fish towards it

My guess would be that these weak fish are actually ill, are they?

First of all, you need to find out what illness is causing them to be that weak. If you are sorting that out, try an air powered sponge filter.

i had that problem before in my old 10g because I was 40gallons OVERFILTERING...what is your filter rated for? that easily could be the problem, because the current is too strong, making the fish tired and weak, then their easily getting sick and dying, or they get so weak that they swim past the filter and it sucks them in and they just cant get off like a normal strong fish could...I dunno, that is just what happened to me... hope i helped
