My Fish Changed Colour!

It is a malawi cichlid and i kno they do that a bit but i bought this guy as a black african cichlid cos i hadnt seen a black one before and thought it looked kewl!

now 4 weeks on over the last few days hes gradually gone blue

my others change colour a lil but they do it in minutes and change back in the same time.

think this guys decided to go blue tho.

stress can cause fish to loose color, also if a fish had been in high ammonia water the burns will turn black (that i dont think it would heal hat fast lol )

Very nice radient blue on the lil fella tho thats a nice fish

jus seemed weird how he did it over a few days.


too long to be jus a random mood he was in and too short for him to mature i think.

fish at the fish shop are usually stressed out so they dont show aqll there colour, he has settled in well in your tank and is probably quite relaxed. the fish looks like an ahli to me.
