Okay so I purchased some driftwood off ebay that was "fish aquarium ready" so I ASSUMED it would sink. 
After soaking it for about a week and boiling it for 2 days, no luck of sinking it. 
I would get some slate and drill it to the wood to weigh it down, but I am a girl and 17 years old...Give me a drill and I'll end up with a tank full of holes, a driftwood broken in half and missing 3 fingers. 
So I managed to wedge it into my tank where it is forced to stay. Muahaha! Take that you mean ol' piece of wood!

Excuse the cloudiness. I stirred up a lot of sand as the driftwood wouldn't give up the fight.
My female betta Pea Princess and her favorite marble. She'll see her reflection in it and swim around it forever.
