Okay, so I have two fish tanks, both 20 litres.
My first fish tank has 11-12 cobra guppies in it, and my second has 7 orange swordtail platys.
So, I'm wondering, since I'm quite new to fish keeping, are my tanks ok? Here's some info on them:
Tank 1
11-12 cobra guppies
no filter
3 live plants and 1 fake plant
1 fake pot (for decor, they also like hiding in it)
gravel
2 months old
cleaned once
Tank 2
7 orange swordtail platys
filter
River rocks
1 huge clump of plants from their pond, 1 fake plant
2-3 days old (including fishless cycle - 24 hrs
I don't have a water testing kit but I observe my fish often and make sure everything's ok, and I make sure to look after them and feed them once a day. My platys came from a pond and don't know what fish food is so I don't really feed them, they live off of the enviroment. I also would like a 20 litre neon tetra tank, and I don't need a heater because I live in the tropics where the temperatures are ideal for the fish I own. Is there anything I can improve on that won't take up much or any budget at all? I have one spare filter, it's identical to tank two's filter. Also if you want more info or photos I can answer happily.
