People on this forum like to keep the look natural. I do too, but I like the tank, I would just deffinately make it natural.

get taller plants for the back, tall vibrant green plants...

I'm not keen myself-prefer the natural look. And that tall plant should be near the back. Try to scale lower to higher as you go back towards the rear glass. More plants would be much better.
