My First Spawn!

well, i finally decided to give breeding a shot. here's the father, stormtrooper:

and the mother, morwen:

daddy is a plakat, but mom is not. i just didnt have a plakat girl old enough to mate with him. they were together hardly more than 24 hours when they did the deed. he was very gentle with her, and she's as good as new now. the eggs just hatched a few hours ago. here are some pics of dad with his kids:

wow those are some aweasome pictures! and what a great pair I LOVE their coloring...what is the mom? hehe I can't believe how pretty they both are...they are gonna have some lookers for the babies...

Oh my, congrats!!! Both parents have such unique colouring, I can't wait to see how the babies turn out! . I swear, those are the most beautiful bettas I've ever seen... I can't decide if I like the father or the mother best

pretty surprising, because dad is usually a super bubble nester, too. oh well, i guess he knows what he needs to do to get the job done!

I'm so happy for you! I can't believe this is your *first* spawn, with all of those gorgeous Bettas you have. They'll definitely be well taken care of!

The Mom and Dad are stunning... wow. He's almost, like, blue and platinum marble! Those are going to be some awesome babies, I cannot wait to see how they turn out!! Amaaaazing pics, btw, I'm jealous.

not sure when i'll get to the oranges, but hopefully eventually. i still want to get a black green female to spawn luke with. this is luke:

i'm still so nervous about this spawn. stormtrooper gave me a heart attack last night. i came home and there was no nest or babies to be found under the cup! turns out he relocated both nest and fry to the underside of a water lettuce plant. what a relief when i saw all the little tails hanging down!
