What do you guys think so far? I have a piece of tree root soaking ready to go in there also and then that will be all.

nice tank; i like the stocking. a straight on photo would be better to get a proper look at the tank; but i like what you have done so far very nice!

looking forward to seeing the bog wood in there to give the tank some depth. :good:

Looks like you planning on breeding the guppies (if not planning they will) you might want to get some moss in there so the fry have somewhere to hide. Other than that it looks good.

Also you might want to look at a post on here that tells you haw to take good photos of your tank.

Awww thanks for the replies ;)

I took it today on my mobile because I was so impatient to show it on here (how sad is that lol) but my hubby is going to take real pics tonight :)

The bogwood has to soak for a few more days yet I think, but am planning to put some java moss on and around it when its ready. Does that sound a good idea?

Oh and I have got my old 54L set up and cycling ready for the guppy fry to go in if (when lol) we get some

Yep, looks good, nice job :good:.

Plant second from the right is a non-aquatic spikemoss though, may want to get that out of there before it starts to rot and look nasty :good: .

looks fine, my only thing is the Fern type plant to the right of the tank is a non aquatic plant. It will eventually rot. it would grow better in some soil on your window :)

are you both talking about the same plant? The fern?

How can the lfs sell it as an aquarium plant if it isn't :( newbies to this hobby dont stand a flipping chance :(

Thanks

Kaye

Its common unfortunately, also look out for a green/white and a red/white leaved plant, thats the same....your best bet for plants is to use somewhere like Greenline aquatics or Java Plant.

If you are still going to buy from a shop, then use Tropica's website to ID the plants you want and go with images and names to the shop so you dont get duff info.

I'm gutted :( it looks really good - and I am going to ring them tomorrow to complain

thanks - off to look at the places you said now :)
