Fish Fanatic
So, months after getting the tank I have fish! (some plants I ordered a week ago only got dispatched today so will go in later but we wont talk about that
)
The little blighters have already pulled every loose flake off the wood and every nutrient ball out of the sand below the plants and have the tank in a state already but I love them
They scared the life out of me earlier! I got them first thing this morning, added them gradually to the tank then ran to work asap. I got back at 8pm, turned the light on and every single one of them was sitting on the bottom of the tank motionless I thought id killed them all in one day! Thankfully they were sleeping and all is well now (the fighter is a tad iffy but improving.
I will get proper pictures when they arent so stressed (bumpy car trip!) and the rest of the plants are in, but meet the gang....
This guys been a bit off so far but is looking better now. Beautiful fish!
The Ember tetras have behaved best of all, swimming around very happily (colour could do with some work). I have never kept these before and had meant to get neons, but I just took a notion for these in the shop
]
And of course the Stars of the show and the fish I have always wanted.... (large school). These guys basically huddled together in the middle of the tank all day, but seem to be out and about now... well most of them!
Oh yea and I got one of these.... I just can't resist them. The fish store guy (best ive ever met) said he will be fine with shrimp... I am highly spectical but we shall see. I just love these derpy guys, took one look at the tank of them and had to have one.
Well thats the gang, probably all that will ever be in the tank, it could take more but im happy with it. I might end up with a few tetras or something I suppose, just glad not to look at an empty tank anymore! It has been cycled for over a month lol
