My First Planted Tank

Thanks :) Yea I like this alot better than I did yesterday...I definately like it heavily planted :) The picture really does nothing for the purple cabomba...looks a lot more colorful in person...suggestions? :)

Thanks so much! I will update in a few weeks maybe, or if I can find some weeping moss before then :hey:

looks nice Meggie, this just proves how good nutrient rich substrates are. I told you when it was all cloudy when you'd swapped over how good this will grow, and it has. :good:

thanks! its amazing how much the plants NOT in the fluval plant substrate have grown, too! :)

thats because the goodness in the substrate leech's into the water column. You get an all round feed for the plants. :good:

Awesome I didn't know that! Is there a kind of plant you know of that creates like a carpet over substrate that will look good and work in my tank

Alright, rescaped AGAIN :) will update again when the water clears up the rest of the way...it is still very cloudy...sorry no perfect FTS...the corner got cut off on the one that was supposed to be.

Tell me what ya think!

Please feel free to criticize!

:) it's a lot less "jungley" than it was before  do you like this scape better or the first one better?

I like this one better :)

I like this one better :)

Alright it's been a while...I started dosing with fertilizers about 5 days ago and I added some pygmy swords to the front to experiment with a carpet...I wanted to start with this instead of something like baby tears because it is easier to grow and this ten gallon is mostly an "experiment" tank so that I will do well on my 50 gallon when I get it going :)

So yea everything has grown out like crazy...I know everything is a bit of a mess right now...haven't gotten around to trimming things down as I am dealing with ich at the moment :/

Only have one pic for now...I will try to load more when the plants those fertilizers kick in a little more... :)
