My First Planted Tank :)

Hey all! So after spending a lot of time researching and browsing on this forum, I finally decided to do a planted tank and found more than enough information to start one I will put up a picture of what it looked like before, what it looked like last night, and what it looks like right now I might end up posting up some new pictures in a few weeks or so just to show the growth Please criticize that's why I posted it

Looks beautiful, really natural looking well done. The black gravel is a winner, it sets the plants off a treat - I've just put some pettex roman black gravel in one of my own tanks.

Have to agree, black gravel is the best thing for any tank! Makes not just the plants but the fish stand out so much! Good job

I want to get a background on there as well...anyone have any idea or opinion as to what color/kind of background to get?

I would personally choose a black backing. Is that black argonite sand?

im not using any CO2 right now I have the fluval substrate for plants (the fertlizer one) and low lighting (T8 15 watts: 10 gallon) and I was told I don't need CO2?

It's very low tech. it has been less than a week since set up...plants seem to be doing okay...but I have a really ugly breeding net in there right now...as soon as I buy a fry tank I can move it out of there and then I'll take a pic (should I because I don't know how much 5 days would make a difference from the first pic) ...it looks really ugly with it in there right now
