Fish Herder
Right, as no replies I googled loads and went ahead.
Got interpet anti white spot. Put half the recommended dose in the tank as it is a neon tetra and shrimp tank and apparently too much can harm them. Ingredients should be safe for shrimps after searching on google (please tell me they will be ok).
My questions now:
How often do I dose? Daily? And should I stick to half the dose or go to the normal full dose?
Do I still do regular water changes? Last one was done on Sunday.
How do I store the carbon of the filter? I took it out as instructed and just left it in a bowl with tank water. Do I get new ones for after treatment? No clue about those things.
I would greatly appreciate some help. Off to bed now *yawn* but hopefully someone can answer my questions soon so I can safely treat ich and have happy fish again
I recently had to treat ich and used the interpet medcine that your using and I just followed the instructions on the bottle which worked fine! I did a water change BEFORE adding treatment, added 2nd dose on day 4th day (I think thats what it says on the box) and job done. I personally would just store the carbon in a mesh bag until you have completed the treatment and then put it back in but I wouldn't be in a rush to put it back in.
Thanks, that's good to hear. I am more relaxed now and hope the medicine will work, sounds good. Unfortunately I couldn't water change before as we noticed while putting our son to bed and he was asleep by the time we worked out what to do, but hopefully it will be ok.
