Well,

After looking at Sue's lovely fry pic, I went to the bedroom to get something and what did I find but lots of tiny little babies!!!!!

My first ever fry! They have been in the tank with 2 female mollies for a few weeks now and I knew they were breeding because Mum was in a cave all the time and Dad was standing guard. I just didn't know what to expect, I've not even had livebearer fry before!!!

Anyways, I got a few pics and they seemed fine with me doing that.

Pic 1 of 4 - please do not reply just yet!! ;)

Can you see how some fry are lighter than others? Wonder why that is? Could they have had 2 lots because I did notice a bit of flitting between the 2 caves by the Mum.

Stu, my boyfriend reckons there's about 50, I thought 30. So 40ish it is!!

thanx!

it's plastic right?
didn't know I could use that...
in my tank there are some porcelain ones, but I never know how to place them.
They have laid eggs in one that's on its side, the little hole in the floor of the pot is the entrance... But they seem to like a backdoor too, cause they moved the gravel to have a small entrance there...
The eggs dissappeared then unfortunately...

Congrats! That is so cool! :D

Mom and dad are beautifull, I've never seen albino kribs full grown.

What a great home they have, love that tank.

And they gave you a reason to get another tank.....

Looks like half the batch is albino and the other half is colored! You got some amazing pictures of those small things! I am really hoping that you will give us the cance to watch them grow up. I'm so pleased for you. KRIB FRY!!! Birthday party at CS' house. :D

Thanks

I am not sure how ling the eggs took to hatch. I saw the fry for the first time today but the parents have been secretive for about a week.

Just hope I can find homes for the babies once they are grown up. :)

I have a pair that are courting at the moment myself, I did take a peek inside the terracotta pot with a flash light and seen a couple round white things on the inside walls of the pot. I got my fingers crossed. The female only comes out of the pot for about a minute, takes a swim around the tank and back in she goes. The male is in and out of there constantly. Wish them luck
Again, great pics and Congratulations on your new babies

 CONGRATULATIONS  and what awesome photos Dana :kewlpics: .....looking forward to seeing more pics of them as they grow
