Hello everyone.

Picked up my very first Betta yesterday and I already understand how these guys can get addictive!

I'd welcome any info about him, I have no idea if he's a particular type or just a common veil tail but I think he's lovely. Here he is (sorry bout the rubbish iPod pics):

And here's where he lives:

Any comments or suggestions welcomed!

He's lovely, & yes they are addictive!
It might just be the pic, but has the tank got a lid? Bettas are jumpers

The tank has a glass lid with a gap at the front. When I go to bed or go out I put a piece of plastic over the gap. I was warned about that in the shop!

The smallest aqua one they do, I think it's a 101F and I'm using a spray bar that came with it to soften the flow and add a bit of air.

Is he a bit on the pudgy side? He has just eaten his bloodworm dinner....

fair enough... thats got a decent media space...

He's beautiful, and you gave him a really nice home with all those lovely plants! :)

Glad the tank has got a lid. . . I can see it now, should've put my specs on!
He is lovely, love the red & White colouring

It's a silvery greeny blue in natural light, really pretty. I'd never considered keeping them before, had the usual tetras and danios but then I saw that tank and I had to have it and struggled for ages working out what to put in but then I saw the pictures on here of you guy's bettas and that was that!

I do have a small fluval internal filter if you think he needs extra filtration, id just be a bit worried about the flow then.

Think I may have my boyfriend hooked too. He fancies his own tank and Betta on a dr.who theme! love to see a Betta swimming out of a tardis!
