My First Betta - And It's A Boy!

Yup, after years of gravel I went with sand after starting my small tank with it. Soon after did a major change to sand with my larger tank.

looks cool :good:

i never hide my views on the fact that i dont agree with rescueing from shops BUT he is a nice find, shame he is so tatty but apart from looking like he has been chewed by a pitbull he looks great, nice colours and his tail is goig to be lovely, he wont look like a hm yet but im 99% sure he will be as he has thick main branching and a good distance in his webing so im confident he will be HM or very near one. good luck ith him

Thanks for the comment and your honesty, I really appreciate it! I just don't understand how they get so chewed up... I guess it goes to show that they really should be kept on thier own! it's a real shame especially with him being one of the nicer breeds - and because he was the colours I had been looking for I couldn't bare to think that some kid would end up with it and stick it in thier goldfish bowl or even worse a jar, knowing that I had a set-up specially for a betta of his colours.

I'm really hoping that I can save this little chap and get him looking decent again!
