Fish Fanatic
So I just come home there to find my angelfish laying eggs and the other one fertilising them!! They are still going at the minute and theres loads of eggs!!
At the minute the female is constantly laying eggs meanwhile the male often comes to fertilise them and then guards them by violently chasing other fish away! They are in a 120L and the filter only broke yesterday for some reason! will be getting another one soon though! and as there is no filter they have layed eggs on the filter holder thing in the tank!
I bought these two angelfish two years ago as babies and they were not a proven pair. Two years on and they have their first spawn! I am extremely excited but have no idea what to do! They dont seem to be eating them (yet?) so unsure what to do! do i leave them with the parents, dad seems to be doing a good job at guarding! lol or do i remove them and put them somewhere else! obv im really happy and would love some babies to survive so is there any way i could help with the health of these eggs, (do more water changes, move them, switch aquarium light off?! etc)
any advice is greatly appreciated as I really don't know what to do for the best to hatch these eggs and rear any babies (hopefully!!)
also how long does it take for the eggs to hatch!??
Thanks in advance
