My First 2 Betta's

Haha, pics are getting better. Not that they could've gotten much worse. lol :D Don't worry, you'll get better at it with a little practice.

But he's definitely a veiltail (VT).

If by Washington you mean the state and not DC, and you live in the southern/western half of the state, then I know of a place that sells halfmoons. It's actually in Portland, OR, and it's called The Wet Spot. Last time I was in there they had HM bettas. Their phone number is (503) 287-3339, you may want to give them a call to see if they have any before you drive down there. Of course, if you live in Washington, DC, disregard everything I just said. :)

Eh, I honestly don't remember how much they were. This was about a year ago now that I was down there. I'm probably going to make another trip down there during spring break in March (I go to UW in Seattle, but live down near the Longview/Kelso area).

Where is Betta House located in Tacoma?

What type of camera are you using Smileyface, it may be worth your while putting some mesh (ie old tights) over the flash gun to diffuse the lighting and black or dark grey card behind the tank. I use mount board as it quite durable. the fish look cool though.

oh ok.

On my camera there is a little flower this is macromode. See if your camera has it. Mine takes beautiful pics of my bettas in macromode. Also I agree about the tank size. I have one betta in one of those tanks without the divider and he loves it. Although it's still pretty small lots of water changes do the trick.
