I'm so happy they are doing so well!
My first Firemouth never adjusted and wouldn't eat. He wasted away and there was nothing I could do about it. It was really sad.
So, now I have this new pair (I got 2 this time!) and they are eating and coming up to the front of the tank and hanging out together! I'm so excited about it.
I was really worried that I would have the same problem with them that I had with the first one and thank goodness it was all for nothing!I'm going to try to get some pics of them. They have wonderful colors already even at such a young age.
Can anyone tell me how to sex them? They maybe be too small now, but I'd like to know what to look for. (And I've never vented a fish before, so I don't think that would really be an option for me.)
Thanks! :hyper:

yay missyintx :kana: :- cant wait to see the pics.unfortunatly i have no clue how to sex them :dunno: ...i love these new emoticons  ..hehehe

I've seen so many conflicting information on sexing Firemouths, that I gave up on sexing mine. Some say the male is more coloured, with others it's that the male has longer dorsal & anal fins.

The method I've decided to go with is if I get fry then I have a pair, and if I don't then they're either both males or both females...Simple process of deduction.

Ps Good luck with them.
