Hey all. I've worked this out going by Tom Barr's great thread on low light setups and no CO2. Now, its not going to be spot on but I'm going to try it out and see what happens, as my tank has been setup for nearly 2 months and is currently recovering from masses of hair algae (I love you Flourish Excel!)
Anyway here is what I have embarked on this week:
I'll be dosing 1/2 teaspoon of KNO3 (Potassium Nitrate) and 1/8 teaspoon of K2PO4 (Potassium Phosphate) once a week and 1/2 cap of Flourish Excel daily (a little below the recommended dose).
Now, I have some Tropica Plant Nutrition also, and I'm not sure if I should use this. Its described like this:
I'm thinking this along with my dry ferts should make a nice combo but I'm unsure about adding tropica PN. (Note, its not the PN+)
Any thoughts? Oh, yeah... setup us as follows:
Juwel Rio 180
Good filtration (Tetratech EX700)
medium - heavy planted (will be adding more plants soon) - Plants include Ludwigia repens, Crypt. crispatula, Anubias nana, Bacopa australis, Hygrophila corymbosa 'Siamensis 53B', couple of Vallis var. etc. (more planting info here...)
Lighting is currently 2x30w tubes (plus another randon old 30w soon to be replaced with a freshwater tube) so will be 90w meaning approx 1.9 wpg.

"PLANT NUTRITION liquid contains the most important nutrients for healthy and sustained aquarium plant growth. PLANT NUTRITION liquid does not however contain nitrogen (N) or phosphorus (P)."
