Hmmm, thats weird. If you buy it from a petstore the bags should be labeled. Just look around a bit, it will be easy to find, just to give you a heads up though it is a bit more expensive (than pine), not by a whole lot though.

Thats okay the price dosnt concern me ..aslong as my hammies are okay thats the main thing.. Well thanks again megthefish for that info :good: xx

Awww  It looks like you have them on Pine though, which is very bad for them, it will give them an upper respiratory infection. It would be best to switch to Aspen or a pelletd litter.

Heather is in the UK so the Pine here is ok to use, it's different to the pine you get in the USA. We don't get Aspen shavings here.

Orite bloo I thought it was the food megthefish was talking about.. Well its lavander scented woodshavings they have.. :good: I wonder if thats okay for them! x

Lavender scented wood shavings are bad you need to swtich them regardless if UK pine shavings are safe.

How often should I give my hammies treats  ..Such as yoghurt drops, rasins, sunflower seeds and things like that..Also those fruit and nut bar things that you hook onto the cage is it okay just to leave them hooked on all the time or should I remove it ?
Thanks :good:

You're better off giving fruit and veg it's much better for them. Those bars are just full of sugar too so I avoid them.

Okay thanks lym..I will try and lay off the treats, I think they were having them too often anyway.. They love grapes ,banana, lettuce and carrot.. :good: x
Hiya Guineapigqueen yeah they are roborovskis and they are hyper active... :shout: lol..x

Sunflower Seeds: 2-3 daily
Yogurt Drops and Other Such Treats: 1 evry 2 weeks
Rasins: once a week only 1 or 2
But mostly stick to fruits and veggies 2-3 time sweekly.

Banana is a bad idea because they can get it stuck in their cheek pouches. Robos will be fine with carrots and fruit but othe rbreeds of dwarfs mainly WW's and RC's cannot have fruits, carrots, corn, peas, or store bought treats as they are often prone to diabetes.
