Very nice horses Annastasia. Wow 18hh, I can only imagine a horse that tall.... How do you get up on his back? I personally, am one of the people that likes to be a little closer to the ground. 14.2-15hh is just perfect for me.

Thanks! Ponies are nice too. I like them better for trail rides, and such, but they are harder for cross country and show jumping. Of course, you do get shorter jumps which is a plus... Don't get me wrong though, I love my little ponies.

How do you get up on his back?

Mounting blocks are my friend..

there's a place near where i used to live in essex (UK) that bred and showed suffolk punches, was a working farm you could go and visit. they were all gorgeous.

Catxx - I've always wanted a Suffolk Punch, but they aren't that common around here. That's cool that you could go see them working. Some farms around here actually still use animals for working.

suffolk punches aren't that common anywhere!
they're a rare breed
only about 100 or under breeding mares in the world or something.

True. But they are getting more and more common. In MD, I know of at least 2 people that have and breed them, one right down the street. I might have to get one eventually from him...
