My Discus scratched himself.

My Discus appears to have scratched himself on a rock, He seems happy enough, but what should I do to make sure it dosn't become infected :alien:

If he is otherwise healthy, doing daily 10% water changes should be all you need. If it does show signs of being infected, greyish white colouring may indicate bacteria, I use either melafix for mild cases or myxazin from waterlife for more severe cases.

If it goes hairy, it is likely to be fungus, in this case I usually paint on a malachite green/formalin medication like quick cure or tetra contra spot directly onto the wound with a new sterilized hobby paintbrush, while holding the fish in moist kitchen towels.
