My dad wants to set up a tank at his shop and he is running a tap water tank i was wondering if he is able to put in any fish with tap water::He say that he can put in fish but i an not sure if he can he put any fish in the tank can you help me in this spot. B)

He can use tap water but he has to use water conditioner, is it going to be a cold water tank or tropical ?

If cold water then he doesn't need a heater, if tropical then he needs a heater.

He will need a filter whether it is cold or tropical.

But first he needs tap water conditioner and he needs to run the tank for some time to mature the water, you can't just chuck fish into it.

tap water contains chlorine and thats bad for fish. he needs 2 cycle it first!
do u know what 2 do in cycling?

Cycling has nothing to do with chlorine

Thanks for replying he is giong to do tropical i think.He already put some remove chlorine stuff in there. B)
